Brief Description:
This Umbrella Programme is conceived with the overriding objective of designing a long-term framework for the technical cooperation between the Supreme Commission for Tourism of Saudi Arabia and the UN System in the context of the strategic national quest for economic diversification, including the increased contribution of promising services sectors.

Objectives:
1. Streamlining the legal framework to promote tourism; 
2. Building the institutional capacity of the Government in the tourism area; 
3. Developing the Human Resources in the tourism industry; 
4. Promoting investment in the tourism sector.


Progress:
Project has achieved most of its objectives and is in process of formulating a successive phase to build on the successes accomplished.
