1 November 2008, Riyadh,The United Nations Heads of agencies represented in Saudi Arabia held a reception dinner for all their national counterparts to commemorate and celebrate together the establishment of the United Nations Organization in 1945.During the three hour event, the UN Resident Coordinator & UNDP Resident Representative, Dr. Riyad Musa; and the UN Heads of Agencies in Saudi Arabia (WHO, UNHCR, UNICEF, FAO, and the World Bank) received around 500 guests who came to commemorate this day. 29 April 2008 - Al Yamamah College Students Visit UNDP to Discuss MDGs

29 April 2008, Riyadh,   Twenty university students from Al Yamamah College visited UNDP premises in Riyadh earlier this year.   The objective of the visit was to discuss the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for Saudi Arabia with the students including other development issues. The visit also included a mock Shura Council meeting.   The English language faculty member at Al-Yamamah Business College in Riyadh has been currently conducting an action research project on a research framework that he has created. 16 March 2008 - UNDP and UNICEF Hold a Programme for Youth Leadership and Dialogue

16 – 19 March 2008, Riyadh, The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Saudi Arabia Country Office and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Sub-Regional Gulf Office have kick-started a pilot programme that will enhance the leadership skills of young men and women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 17 January 2008,17 January 2008 The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for Arab States has recently launched a TV campaign (containing 2 Public Service Advertisements) for Youth Development in the Arab World. The campaign was sponsored by Al-Faisaliya Group, and is being broadcasted on five (Middle East Broadcasting Corporation) MBC channels and Al-Arabiya channel. The campaign started on the evening of Thursday 17 January 2008 and will go on for two months on those five channels.
