21 September 2011, Saudi Housing Forum 2011
21 September 2011, Riyadh, UNDP is serving as an event partner at The Saudi Housing Forum 2011 hosted by Ministry of Housing and MEED Insight. The event will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn in Riyadh during the 27th and 28th and 29th of November 2011. This forum is an important and timely market intelligence event that will provide unparalleled detail and insight into one of the most important issues facing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Jointly organized by MEED & the Saudi Council of Engineers, this 3-day conference and workshop will
present a vital update on the plans to drive forward housing development in the Kingdom and the market
changes and project opportunities that will result. A spend of US$67 Billion has been promised for housing development in order to deliver the projected requirement of 500,000 additional housing units for 2013. Delivering these houses will be a hugely complex task that requires the input of a variety of stakeholders representing government, construction, real estate, power & water, and the financial sectors. This is undoubtedly a market that is underpinned by firm commitment and backing from the Saudi government.
